One of the most striking features of Matrix Junior College is its Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, and Computer Science laboratories which are equipped with all necessary amenities. The college takes pride in its own Practical Examination Centre, Recognized by Assam Higher Secondary Education Council. The goal of the Science laboratory is to provide the student with an extensive understanding of basic principles of the Physical Science, to help them develop critical thinking and quantitative reasoning skills, to empower them to think creatively and critically about scientific problems and experiments, and to provide training for students planning careers in physical sciences broadly defined, including those whose interests lie in research, college teaching, industrial jobs, or other sectors of our society.
The goal of computer science lab is to demonstrate proficiency in problem-solving techniques using the computer, demonstrate proficiency in at least two high-level programming languages (C, C++), to demonstrate comprehension of modern software engineering principles.
